Start here
Your first steps into raw primal eating.
No need to go 100% raw tomorrow. Aajonus himself said to transition gradually, one food at a time. Here's the path most of our members took.

Fix your sourcing first
This matters more than anything. Find a butcher who slaughters fresh and will tell you where the animal came from. Look for pastured, grass-fed animals from small farms. Buy fresh, not frozen. Aajonus preferred fresh meat, even from a supermarket, over frozen.
- Go to the market early in the morning, when the meat is freshest, and get to know one seller.
- Free-range farm eggs from hens that roam outside are the easiest primal win, anywhere.
- Look for small dairy farms near you. Many sell fresh raw milk directly if you ask.
- Buy unheated honey, like wild forest honey, straight from the beekeeper.

Start with the easy foods
Raw milk, raw eggs, raw butter and cream, and unheated honey. They're familiar and gentle, and they're the classic Primal Diet starting point. A primal milkshake is the perfect first step.

Make raw fat the center
Fat is the fuel of the Primal Diet: raw butter, raw cream, bone marrow, coconut cream, avocado. Eat extra raw fat with every meat meal, even if the meat is fatty. Going lean is the most common beginner mistake.
- 5
Add raw meat
Start with beef from your trusted butcher: a hand-chopped tartare or thin carpaccio. Then try sashimi-fresh fish and lamb. When you're ready, add organs like liver and heart.

Add fruit, the smart way
Fruit is welcome here. Eat it whole and ripe, and always with some fat or protein: berries with raw cream, mango with eggs in a smoothie, papaya after a meat meal. Skip juices and refined sugar.

Drink your greens
A daily juice of mostly celery with some parsley. Keep it green and eat your fruit whole instead. Aajonus taught to drink it about an hour apart from meat meals.

Expect an adjustment
In Primal Diet terms, the body 'detoxes' as it changes: some people feel tired, sleep more, or crave honey and milk in the first weeks. Go slow, add one new food at a time (a weekend is ideal), rest, and share how you feel in the group. Everyone has been there.

Find your people
This is easier together. Join the group, introduce yourself, and ask anything. No question is too basic.

Beginner mistakes
What not to do.
Going lean
Lean meat without raw fat leaves you drained. Add fat to every meal.
Eating fruit naked
Fruit on its own can spike and crash you. Pair it with cream, eggs, cheese, or coconut.
Going all-in on day one
Transition one food at a time. Your body needs time to adjust.
Buying old or cheap meat
Raw eating stands or falls on freshness. Know your source.
Fasting or under-eating
The Primal Diet is about eating well and often, not starving.
